This program is for women who are self aware, but longing for an even deeper connection to themselves, others and source.

Even though your life is good, you know you are capable of even greater connection and bliss. Yet, somehow through caring for others, making compromising choices, or not knowing how to move forward, you feel slightly off track. You are looking for an opportunity to honor your true path, and are unable to tolerate being anything less than the true authentic self you were born to be.

The purpose of the Intuitive Counseling Program is to provide you with the tools and practice to heighten your intuition and develop self-trust. You start this process of claiming power by tapping into messages from your deep soul, by learning to understand the language of dreams.

Next, learn more about the role goddesses play as teachers, during different life phases. Develop skills to decipher ancient wisdom passed on through ancestors by decoding symbols in fairy tales. Have the pleasure of writing your own autobiography and deepen your understanding of your history, beliefs and patterns.

You may also choose to enrich your program of self-discovery through our flower essence courses. Flower essences are a tool, first developed by Dr. Bach in the 1920’s. They have been used since then to break through old beliefs and limitations that keep people stuck.

The Intuitive Counseling Program will give you a way to access your deep authentic self, as you decide how to move your life forward. The insights provided by dreams, goddesses, fairy tales, and your autobiography, provide a way to connect directly to source. Learning to find this information inside yourself helps you claim your inner authority, and find clarity, so necessary in turning self- awareness into good choices.

All Intuitive Counseling Program classes except Advanced Flower Essences may be taken individually. The Flower Essences Introductory Course is the pre-requisite for flower essences Advanced. A diploma in Intuitive Counseling requires students also take, all 3 years of the general studies program.

The Language of Dreams

Do your dreams intrigue you? Do you get a glimpse of insight, but know much of the message is eluding you? You are not alone. Dreams are slippery, written in the language of symbol and metaphor.

Dreams are a nightly newsletter from your subconscious. Your internal dream maker, who is as brilliant, as any Hollywood filmmaker creates this personalized cinema. Your dreamer works relentlessly on these nightly movies, selecting characters, settings and actions, all skillfully chosen to give you clarity.

During this course you will learn how to decipher your internal dream language, so it can provide life-long, reliable insight into your feelings and motivation, helping you become your own oracle.

This course will include one day’s worth of neo-shamanic dream journeying, to help you find a spirit dream guide.

The dream courses offered below comprise Northern Star’s Dreamtime program. They offer interconnected dream techniques and experiences to illuminate dream content for personal use and client-based practices.

 

Flower Essences – Introductory

This class explores the vibrational nature of flower essences, used for emotional and spiritual nurturing. Properties of Dr. Bach’s 38 essences, the Californian Flower Essence Societies 100 plus essences are discussed. A focus on personal growth, interviewing and working with clients is encouraged.

Healing the Goddess Wound

Come on a journey to meet 8 Greek goddesses that enter all women’s lives. Discover your goddess ‘soul type’, and meet the seven other teachers. Each goddess focuses on a set of life lessons, such as marriage, romance, career, freedom, life passages and mystical experiences.

Goddess wisdom is the “body of knowledge” carried from our ancestors about feminine transitions and phases that affect us deeply, but alas, not taught in our school system. Find out how the goddess wounds, once identified in your life, may be transformed into your greatest strengths. Join us to embark on the journey and contribute your wisdom and stories!

This course will be based on Laurie’s new book: Healing the Goddess Wound.

The Story of You

Instructor: Laurie Szott-Rogers

Women’s mythology is illuminated through fairy tales, which according to Dr. Carl Jung are the “dreams of our culture”. These familiar stories hold wisdom, passed on from our ancestors to help us make meaning of our lives. We will look at how to understand the symbols and metaphors in fairy tales, and unravel their meaning, from a feminine perspective.

We will also explore personal mythology and start to create an autobiography of significant aspects of our lives, which have shaped who we are. There will also be time to share part of our stories, and witness the heroism in our own journeys.

Advanced Flower Essences

Instructors: Robert Rogers and Laurie Szott-Rogers

Pre-requisite: Introductory Flower Essences – Grant
MacEwan or Northern Star

This course will address core questions each person faces when living a soulful life. The life lessons of planetary, and dream archetypes will be studied. Students will spend significant classroom time, working with a partner to explore their own patterns. They will then have the opportunity to practice this methodology of imagination on clients.

This course will draw on the works of Patricia Kaminski, and Richard Katz of the Flower Essence Society. Case Studies will be required.

*For students with an aptitude for this work, who wish professional certification after completion of this course, instructor approval, 3 longitudinal studies (approximately 70 hours), Personality Profile and Plant Profile, conducted according to Flower Essence Society requirements may be offered.

Northern Star is the only College in Canada approved to facilitate this achievement.
